I saw lots of people having "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)" problems when trying to load a save and/or while playing. I feel like I got robbed of the game I paid for. I'm sure I'll play through a new path eventually, but I was really invested in the game I had started as I was in the end game, etc. so perhaps the game was in an in-between state where the patch was only partially applied(?) and this messed with the saves.Įdit: I gotta admit though, the magic is gone and all that time I had to play over the holidays is gone. This also raises the question, if 1.05 patch was supposed to fix the save bug, why did the bug not manifest until after 1.05 patch was applied? And why then at under 5MB size? I'd just be guessing because Steam typically doesn't apply patches in the background, they must happen before opening the game. If I recall the nature of the save game corruption bug, if one of the saves got corrupted, they all did, correct? Not one of the 50 odd saves is gonna work?ģ.
Since I couldn't start a new game even after the saves presumably got corrupted, there was some other issue (possibly driver, who knows). My saved games got hit with the corruption bug (even though they were all <5MB)Ģ. This leads me to believe a couple things ġ.

I have no idea what fixed the problem, because I've probably updated a dozen other things beyond the GPU driver since the game stopped working in 1.05, and, more importantly, since the last time I tried starting a new game. Just out of curiosity, I tried running CP77 again, and while it still didn't wouldn't load or continue my game without crashing instantly, I tried starting a new game again this time and it worked! I recently updated my nVidia driver to 461.09.

exe in the file structure rather then thru steam. still no luck.Įven tried running as admin directly thru the. Tried using the old version of the sfotware that i used to use back when it was still called just Splitplay. Ive spent the last couple days googling and trouble shooting doing everything i can think of to fix this but i cant even get the game to run single player anymore outside of splitplay. so i plugged another controller into my PC and downloaded a Nucleus Co-Op (splitplay) software i found and iv used and older version of this software before with 0 issues, this time around with a new version (Alpha 8) it ran fine the first couple times, but my saves were missing so i closed out of both windows and moved my game saves to the correct place in the file structure and started the games up again thru splitplay.I am now greeted with the error seen here in the attached pic. I have been playing Borderlands The Pre-Sequel perfectly fine for weeks and decided i wanted to cheat on some of the multiplayer achievements and challenges.
